Casual Friday

My office has casual Friday every week and since its less than 35⁰ out today, a warm winter sweater and snow boots were my go-to items this morning.  With some “Pure Posh” red Clinique lipstick and a red holiday Starbucks cup in hand, I am also completely in the holiday spirit!  (Yay for December)  Happy Friday!

“DO” the LOOK:

Alpine Sweater: *INVESTMENT PIECE* There are tons of different sweaters out there and an alpine sweater really gives off that winter vibe.  I would highly recommend adding a sweater like this to your wardrobe, especially if you live in a cold climate!  It is a super cute and can be casual, like here with jeans and boots for casual Friday, but it can also be really dressy. Weather a cardigan style or sweater with hood, it will be a piece that lasts for a long time so you can be a snow bunny every winter.

Jeans: Faded jeans give a nice contrast to this sweater, but colored denim or a straight dark wash jean would also be great.  If you want to take the sweater from a casual to dressed up look, just throw it over a little black dress and add some heeled booties, tights and bracelets.

Gray Boots: Suede gray snow boots really play off the whole “winterish” alpine sweater look, but colored boots, or more chic leather heeled boots would work well if you want to dress it up a bit more.  I would have worn my olive green suede boots with this outfit as well to keep the same casual look, with a bit different feel.

“Pure Posh” Clinique Red Lipstick:  It’s a great settle shade of red for work, giving you an overall polished look, even with the dressed down sweater, jeans and boots. Go for a similar, shimmery deep red color to add some holiday cheer, or stick to a rich berry or shimmery light coral shade if  you want to add some color to the look.
