Fashion & Beauty Pet Peeve #3

Sadly after a long enough period of time, many of my heels have experienced this aging process of a heel tip loss.  Usually I don’t even notice when one is missing until I’m walking on concrete and when I do, it always happens to be when I’m out and about or at work.

This just happened to me last week at work and it reminded me that although you can buy new heel tips and easily replace them to fix the problem, that I don’t really have a solution when I’m at work.  I felt pretty embarrassed every time I walked down to the kitchen area to get hot water for my tea and people were looking at me because my one shoe was making so much noise! Oh well, what do you do I guess?  I feel like maybe I just need to get a pair of heels to store in my car permanently so I have another pair to change into in case this happens again.  Or … there is always shopping over lunch?! I like that option 😉

Happy Monday! Hope everyone has a great week and that this heel tip wardrobe malfunction doesn’t happen to you anytime soon!

This is the worst. Honestly, I have never had it happen to me at work. I try to always have a pair of flats with me just in case it starts to rain or if I need to take a long walk across campus for some reason, so I would simply change into those.

That’s a good idea to have a pair of flats around! I should do that for this reason and for the rain!

I hate when that happens! I had that happen to a lot of my heels and had them all replaced.

Ooh yes, I hate when I’m the girl making all the noise because my heel tip wore down/broke off… I have a pair of flats stashed in my desk incase of emergencies!

This has happened to me on numerous occasions-usually at thee most inopportune times. I wish there were replacement heels that we could purchase and replace ourselves. I promise I have a bag full of shoes in my trunk that need to be re-heeled right now!
