Great Love Stories

Since Valentine’s Day has come and gone, I have been thinking a lot about my great love stories, from relationships and friends to travel and experiences. Today I want to share some of my great love stories with you.

My True Love Story – I am head over heels in love with my boyfriend. It sounds cheesy, but it is true. I have been in a lot of relationships before, and while I know they taught me something, I feel like I have finally found my life partner. We encourage each other to be better people, challenge each other in positive ways and I have to say, he puts up with a lot of my craziness. No matter what though, he is always there for me, whether it is to hug me when I’m having a rough time, run to the store to get me my favorite snack or completely sweep with off my feet with a surprise.

My Favorite Place Love Story – Think you can’t fall in love with a place? Try again. There is a reason the song “I Left my Heart in San Francisco” was written. I swap out San Francisco with London. I have never felt so at home or full of life than when I lived in London for three weeks and each and every time I’ve been back. Here is my reaction to the first time I went to London, taken from my study abroad journal:

“Breathtaking is certainly an understatement. The moment I stepped out of the dark tunnels of the London Tube, every regret or doubt I had about forcing myself to step on that plane to fly here simply disappeared. Although jet lagged, exhausted and dragging 100 pounds behind me, all I could do was stare. Everything I ever pictured about London came to life right before my eyes. For all the years I dreamed of coming here, I am here and it is more than I could have ever imagined.”

My Passion Love Story – Writing. I have tried so many other routes in my life because I was scared writing wouldn’t allow me to be successful in my career. I started out as an open option in college, considering paths in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, business, you name it. I always came back to writing, hence why I graduated with a degree in journalism. I am a full-time copywriter, so I get to write every single day! I still miss creative writing, so I keep a journal, write poetry and am dreaming of writing a book someday. That’s also part of the reason I started my blog (I am also very passionate about fashion). There is nothing more exciting for me than to start writing a story and see the pieces come together. If you are a writer you know exactly what I mean!

My Pastime Love Story – I LOVE coffee dates. I LOVE COFFEE (no way right, no one loves coffee?!) and I love being able to sit down one on one with people and really learn more about them or discuss various topics like science, religion, politics, travel and so much more. Whether I am having a coffee date with a fellow blogger, a friend or my boyfriend, I always feel relaxed and happy being in a cozy atmosphere sipping on my favorite beverage.

My Family Love Story – I haven’t always appreciated my family the way I should. More than ever, I appreciate my family SO much and love them more than they could ever know. I would do anything to help them, protect them and care for them. It has come to the point that when they come to visit me and then leave, I’ll start to cry! I just cherish my time with them and look forward to when I get to see them again.

My Pet Love Story – I have always been an animal lover. ALWAYS. I was obsessed with my cat, dog and turtle growing up and I’m not going to lie, I still cry sometimes thinking about my pets growing up. When I discussed getting a pet with my boyfriend, he was open to the idea of a puppy. Not more than two days later, I found her. Emma is my little sweetie (or at least that’s what I call her). She is very intelligent and can be a huge pain in the butt, we stay in more because of her and don’t attend as many happy hours, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love her to death and she keeps me company all the time. There is nothing better than cuddling with her on those cold winter mornings!

My Skin Care Love Story – If you have read any of my beauty posts, you know I have acne-prone, combination, sensitive skin. I instantly fell in love with the Gentle Cleansing Wipes and the Intense Night Cream from Yes To Carrots. After a long day at work, I come home and take off my makeup. These fragrance free, natural wipes feel so good on my skin and leave my face feeling refreshed. Later in the night, I will put on the Intense Night Cream and it is gentle on my skin, providing a lot of moisture, while being being sensitive on my skin.

I use the Yes to cucumber! Walmart was out of my Burt’s Bees sensitive skin and the cucumber promised to be kind to my sensitive skin so I took it home. I love the smell and how clean my skin looks!
It’s so funny that you’re in love with London. I am too! That’s why I named my daughter London, after the most beautiful place I could think of. I can’t wait to take my London to London someday!
