Beauty Picks from Sephora

Sephora, you always get me with your sales! I mean, how do you resist a 15% off sale?! The sale ends tomorrow, so make sure to sign up to be a Beauty Insider if you aren’t already to take advantage of the sale!

Hope in a Jar : I spoke about Hope in a Jar here and loved it when I was lucky enough to try it from a friend who left it behind for me to use in Wales when we were studying abroad (her flight left at least a week sooner than mine and she had to get rid of items to travel back… thanks Kaitlin)! I had never even heard of Philosophy at the time, and don’t I feel silly about that now! And so I don’t repeat what I’ve already said in a previous post, I absolutely love it!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes : Got this as a part of a sample box I purchased back in December and absolutely LOVED it. Best mascara I’ve used in awhile. I recently bought L’Oreal’s Voluminous Mascara and was extremely disappointed. It is clumpy on the brush before you ever apply it and has done nothing for my lashes. Luckily, this mascara will be on it’s way to save the day soon! I’m not impressed with very many mascaras (basically only impressed with this and Maybelline’s The Falsies), so when I find a winner, I stick with it!

Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush : After obsessively watching beauty YouTube videos last fall and into winter, I finally purchased and used my first foundation brush. It was working well until last week when it started shedding, and eventually died (aka all the hairs fell out)! This brush has great reviews and I have only ever been impressed and completely in love with Tarte products. So crossing my fingers this brush makes my foundation look flawless and the brush lasts a little longer than three months!

To get 15% off your Sephora purchase, you must be a beauty insider! Sign up for free and use code:TICKET, fellow VIB members, use code: VIBTICKET and for Rouge VIBS use code: ROUGETICKET

YAY! I am so excited you love it. I really want to purchase the whole kit and caboodle from Sigma… it is headquartered here and I actually have two really good friends that work there, but don’t want to cough up $400 for brushes just yet 🙂 So for now, I wanted a good foundation brush!

Sales always gets us, especially in our favorite stores! I have not been in Sephora in a long time, and I think that’s about to change.

I’d like to try that Tarte mascara as I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I would be surprised if I found anything better than Benefit’s They’re Real but this could definitely be a contender!

Oh, yes I have heard amazing things about Benefit’s They’re Real and the funny thing is that I was about to try it, right when I got a sample of Tarte’s mascara! I will have to try Benefit’s next and maybe do a review of both 🙂

I’ve heard great things about that mascara and the lotion! I never thought expensive mascara was worth it until I tried it…now I can’t go back!

I got a very nice sonya kashuk brush set for Christmas, and it was a limited edition set. The reviews online were amazing. I didn’t even open it till February because I have a mix or real techniques and sigma brushes that I used but I was pleased upon initial use. Then about a week later the face brushes started shedding badly. I hadn’t even washed them yet! The ended up dying on me. The shadow brushes were great though. You can’t believe all the hype all the time!
(If you ever need another brush check out the Sigma F80 for foundation, I swear by it!)

Oh no! That’s so sad. I wonder why they shed so badly, because to be honest, now that I’ve tried the Tarte brush, which is nice, I liked my other one better (minus the fact it died!) And I know all about Sigma brushes, I actually am trying to save up to do a splurge on the whole collection! I have two friends who work there and am hoping to receive a “friend discount”! I have had to resist buying the bronzer and foundation brush for the reason they are in the package I want, but sometimes I think I should just buy one brush at a time anyway to really get the brushes I want! Thanks for the recommendation and sorry about your Sonya Kashuk brushes 🙁
