Is That Your Grandma’s Coat?

March 4, 2013

Grandma 10

Why yes, yes it is. Seriously.

My mother went through her mother’s clothing last September after she passed away to see if she could find anything to give to us to remember her and thank goodness because I have gotten some really amazing pieces from her (other outfits with her clothes seen here and here).  I miss her each and every day, but this coat reminds me of her and it makes me smile! I love vintage clothing and to have pieces from her to remember her by… honestly I couldn’t ask for anything better. Have you had clothing passed down to you? I plan to pass this on to some important women in my life someday.

That’s a lovely coat! Your grandmother clearly had impeccable taste in clothing. I’ve had a couple of articles of clothing passed on to me. Unfortunately, I can’t wear most of either of my grandmother’s clothes – I’m too tall for one (amusingly, since I’m pretty short…she just managed to be shorter) and too curvy for the other – but maybe I’ll be able to pass some of the lovely pieces both have/had onto someone who will. The ones I do fit are definitely a treasure.

Instagram post 2173457516695079584_46050882 [AD] The results are in, and they are RADIANT! My skin is glowing thanks to the Olay Regenerist Rentinol24 Night Moisturizer. I've been using this for the past few weeks in place of my regular nightly moisturizer and was so blown away by the immediate results. I have noticed so many differences in my skin, including my skin looking plumper, increased firmness, increased brightness, increased smoothness and reduced acne scarring. This night cream is going to be my go-to moisturizer for a LONG time. Not only do I get the great benefits of using a retinol, which by the way, I saw ZERO irritation with this product, I also get the great hydrating formula I've seen with other Olay moisturizers. If you want to learn more, check out the link in my bio - http://spr.ly/luna-114 - and be sure to watch my most recent YouTube video where I share MORE about my experience over the past few weeks with the @olay #Retinol24 line. #Olay #beautyblogger

I had an amazing time opening my SKIN-MERGENCY kit (SEE the full and hilarious experience of me "breaking" into the kit of the new products on my Instagram stories!) Over the next four weeks I will be using these three new products by replacing my daily moisturizer with the Olay Regenerist Retinol24 and using both the Retinol24 serum and eye cream at night as well. Stay tuned, as I will be sharing my FULL results with these retinol products and the benefits I see. We said yes to this journey called life together and I’m so excited for the new adventure we’re on. I’m so fortunate to have someone who respects me and loves me tirelessly. Who let me pursue my dreams to move to the East Coast. Who supported this crazy dream of mine to move to Boston and “figure it out as we go”... who was willing to sacrifice for me to do what I want and love. Thank you endlessly for giving me this opportunity to be selfish and pursue what I love!

Marriage is also truly in good times and bad... because we’ve had plenty of unexpected and scary things happen the past couple years... but through the worst times, we found strength in each other and our love. It’s hard to understand the why sometimes, but I’ve always had you, we’ve always had each other!

So thank you again for everything! This past year has been our biggest adventure yet! I can’t wait to see what we do and accomplish this next year... love you Joe ❤️❤️❤️ #anniversary #rslbwedding #OurSobieckStory #TrampelingintoSobieck
