Happy HALLOWEEN week! Yesterday we finally made it to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch! We went to the same one we went to a couple years ago because we remembered that they allowed dogs, so we brought Emma along this time. Of course, how could I resist dressing her up on Halloween week in her pumpkin costume – while at the pumpkin patch. She only lasted about 20 minutes in it before I took it off her, but I think all the kids around us were amused by the little “fluffy bear” dog in a sequin pumpkin costume. Truly, I think Emma was just so happy to be along with us! I tried to make her be friends with the goats and llamas, but she really only cared about the people there.

Fall Style, Leopard Top, Tweed Skirt and OTK Boots

I’ve had over-the-knee boots on my wishlist for awhile, but could never find a pair that actually fit me. Thank goodness for JustFab! I found this cute, flat pair in wide calf and lots of great reviews from others on how this was the first pair to actually fit them. I love how they elongate your legs. I especially love how cute they look with a mini! I can’t wait to wear them with jeans and some of my dresses. And we are now only two weeks out from Halloween, I am PUMPED. I’m still working on completing my fireplace decor (see the fireplace here) and can’t wait to do a post on that soon. Anyway, sorry for the rambling. My brain is all over the place these days (in a good way) haha. Happy Monday, and have a wonderful week!

Minnesota Fall Style: How to Be Stylish & Comfortable

Green Jacket + Jeans + Fall Booties

Now that the weather is back to where I like it (that’s 70 or below, anything above and I start to sweat – seriously), I’ve been starting to layer again (hello cute and light layering jacket) and wearing all of my favorite go-to boots that are equally comfortable and chic. These Vionic boots with Orthoheel technology are the exact match of what I want. The cinnamon color is just gorgeous, and so rich to match many of the fall and winter colors in my wardrobe. These boots were also recently featured in Oprah mag, so you know they are a winner. These booties will be along on my fall and winter Minnesota journey, and who knows what that means this year. Last winter was kind (still too long), but kind in comparison to some of the winters I’ve experienced here. But, with a little help from my bootie friends, I think I’ll be just fine!
