What to Do in Nebraska: Omaha and Lincoln

My fiancé and I had the most amazing weekend ever! As I mentioned in an earlier post, we had plans to travel to both Omaha and Lincoln and find things to do via Visit Nebraska – and travel we did. When we first arrived in Omaha early Saturday afternoon, we checked into the EVEN Hotel in downtown Omaha.

The hotel wasn’t too far away from Old Market, and was such a nice space. It was literally only three weeks old! Between a nice relaxation area, a fully-equipped gym, a small self-service convenience store and the most amazing shower set up, I’d say we had quite the luxurious night.

Fall Style | Monday Mode

Hey everyone! Happy Monday – just a quick post today as I’m finishing up a wonderful weekend in Nebraska. I wanted to share one of my favorite fall styles: a mini skirt, a striped top, cardigan, booties and felt hat. With the temperatures near the 70’s, I’ll be able to get a lot more use out of my corduroy skirt.

In other great news, Halloween week/weekend is upon us! I’m so excited for my favorite time of year. While I haven’t shared very many Halloween posts yet this month, you can be expecting a lot of them through next Monday. From my decor to some costume ideas, there is a lot in store. Nation Night Run with Seven Daughters

Last weekend, my fiancé and I attended the Nation Night Run in Shakopee for a night of fun with Seven Daughters. The best part about this race is that it is totally meant to be a good time! No need to worry about beating old personal records, just there to gather with your community and have a great time. In fact, Seven Daughters’ motto was to “Race. Wine. Repeat.” That’s exactly how I like to roll in life!

Life is truly about finding a balance. There is just too much going on to constantly worry and be uptight. That’s why last week, I was enjoying a glass of Pinot Noir from Seven Daughters with my pup on Friday night and running a 5k (okay and some walking) on Saturday night. I love living an active lifestyle, but I also need to take time to enjoy the things I love – including a delicious glass of wine every once in awhile!
