The Long Blazer & The Mini Skirt

Fashion•Outfits

If you told me I’d be wearing a mini skirt at 28, I’d call you crazy. But here I am. Can you blame me though?! This blue pinstripe skirt is adorable, and while more on the shorter side than I usually prefer, it’s made very well and the heavy material helps keep it in place. Paired with this structured, long blazer, it’s just the right mix of classy and sassy. Okay – you’re right – add these lace-up nude heels and it’s just sassy. But I think this girl is staying sassy forever. (Insert information desk lady emoji –...

Spring Style with Banana Republic #ItsBanana

Fashion•Outfits

While the weather has been temperamental, the spring selection at Banana Republic has not! It has been spot on in fact. This fringe dot sweater is light-weight and perfect paired with any bright color this spring – especially this fire coral pencil skirt. There’s nothing better than a good print and bright color mix. In fact, I quite miss my days of bright colored pencil skirts! It’s not often I get dressed up for work, but with a comfy, cute, bright skirt like this – I think that’s about to change! Check out the hashtag #ItsBanana to see more...

Floral Pants + New Hair: Camille Albane Paris in Maple Grove

Beauty•Fashion•Hair•Outfits

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit a brand new salon in Maple Grove, MN, Camille Albane Paris. I was pretty tired from a night + day at the fair, so I grabbed my favorite “pj pants” for the appointment. I was scheduled for a balayage and a pedicure. I have heard of balayage before but never considered asking for or getting this type of color in my hair. According to Vogue, balayage is defined as “a French coloring technique that was developed in the 1970s. It’s a freehand technique where the color is applied by hand rather than using...

Printed Pants

Fashion•Outfits

I do so much online shopping that I forgot how nice it is to try something on in store and fall in love with it. Falling in love happened last weekend with these printed pants from Banana Republic. Last Saturday, my family and I stopped into Banana Republic during their 4th of July, extra 40% off sale and my parents were generous enough to purchase them for me (thank you mom and dad)! Got to love having the parents in town, right?! These pants have the same feel in quality as this skirt (which I’ve had for over five years). They make...

Easter Outfit: Floral Print Skirt + Chambray

Outfits

So this is what I wore for Easter last Sunday! I was way too exhausted to snap photos by the time we got back to Minnesota (we were in Iowa with my family) so I decided we would get photos later on in the week…  and apparently I should have ironed my top before we took pics! Whoops, please no judgment! This skirt is from OASAP and it is so comfortable. I wore it all day on Easter, even the three and a half hour drive home and got a ton of compliments on it, so I can’t wait...

Outfits

If you follow me on Instagram, you have might have already seen these outfits, but when people ask me where things are from, I can’t link to anything or give an easy answer because I have no idea if something is still available. So  just wanted to do a short post to be able to share where some of these items are from! This dress is about a year old but still available! c/o Heiress (HERE) It is a great LBD with some sheer details and was perfect for a girl’s night out this past weekend! (P.S. how NOT...

New York Day Three

Lifestyle•Outfits•Travel

Our last morning in NYC was short, but fun. The car was picking us up at 11:45 a.m. from the airport, which gave us just a little bit of time to get breakfast and do some shopping. We ate breakfast at Kittichai, which was the restaurant in our hotel. My boyfriend said it was the best French toast he’s ever had! It was definitely delicious (yes I stole a bite from him!) And good thing I am an expert money spender… because in a very short amout of time I got new earrings and bracelet from BaubleBar in SoHo...

Layered for the Office

Outfits

As much as I love my work uniform (seen here) for the spring and summer… there are still days that the air conditioning is on full blast and I freeze at work.  This is when layering is key.  I can stand the chill on my legs (even though I get goosebumps and then so much for shaving everyday), but when my arms get cold, it is almost unbearable.  That’s why this is another key work outfit for me: Light-weight sweater layered over chambray (or a collared button up).
