So, I’ve seen this kind of look a few times and love the idea of a chambray shirt with a sequin skirt, but for work, a metallic skirt works a little better. When it comes to the weekends you can find me one of two ways: Sweatpants, a beer/glass of wine and cuddled in the corner of our couch, or in casual wear like what I wore to run errands yesterday. This Friday’s casual outfit was a complete recreation of a look from Happily Grey (see her outfit here). I pinned this look awhile back from my friend and once I got this polka dot top for my birthday, I remembered how striking a beige/black polka dot top looks with a neon scarf (Yup, that’s right… I can seriously remember WAY too many of the things I’ve pinned… kind of scary). Since I just got my neon infinity scarf with my January budget, it was the perfect time to try this look. I hate to admit that Casual Fridays are not easy...

Birthday Sequins

I found an $18 long sequin dress at Forever21 the day before my birthday (updated now in my budget post here), so I couldn’t resist buying it after trying it on and falling in love. I was hoping to find a pink dress, but hey, when you find a good deal (covered in sequins), how can you say no? Paired with some crazy earrings and glitter shoes, I was all ready to celebrate!
