I know, I know. It is the beginning of August, so why am I talking about fall?! Well if August flies by as fast as July, then the beginning of fall will be here before we know it! Today I wanted to share some cute clothing items from Andrew Marc, who also offers some amazing watches and other accessories, to show you how easy it is to transition some of these pieces to fall looks.
There is nothing more classic than a striped top of some sort. A striped tank is the perfect way to stay cool in the summer months, and a perfect layering piece in the fall! Add a chambray top, a pencil skirt, tall flat boots and a gorgeous green bag to take this look into the fall months. For now, just add a pair of denim cutoffs, sneakers a couple simple gold accessories and if you want to keep the sun out of your face, a fedora or panama hat works well.
Addison – Marc New York Magenta Dress
First of all, how gorgeous is this magenta colored dress?! I love it, a bright cheerful color for summer and a great dress to wear to a wedding, for date night or even to the office right now. I styled it for date night above, with a great wedge, statement necklace and cobalt blue clutch. I LOVE magenta and cobalt blue together. One of the easiest ways to transition a bright colored dress into fall is to pair it with a tough piece, such as a faux leather jacket. Above I show a black jacket, but this would look great with brown, cognac or beige as well! Add a pair of booties and a patterned scarf to complete the look.
Lenna – Marc New York Striped Short-Sleeve Hoodie
I’ve never owned a cute hoodie, just ones with logos of sports teams or cross country quotes, so when I saw this one, I had to share it with you. It is cute, cozy and can also be easily worn now, in the fall as well as winter/spring! Right now I would pair it with skinny jeans and boat shoes. To add the the nautical theme, I added a delicate anchor necklace. For fall, I love the idea of red stripes and olive green together, as well as layering over a hoodie. The short sleeves of this one will make layering even easier! Add a casual pair of skinny jeans, cognac accessories, including booties and a structured bag, along with the army green jacket to pull the whole look together.
Make sure to take a look at the great selection of outerwear and accessories.

August 7, 2013 at 10:40 AMLol, fall is my favorite, but summer is my second favorite. So I am really happy/slightly sad when it comes if that makes sense. When summer starts it is the best! I have summer and fall to look forward to! But yes, isn’t it amazing what a few things can do to really help transition?! I used to be really bad at this, but now I just keep my closet year round!
