So yesterday was a weird day. I got up a little later than normal after traveling to and from Madison this weekend to visit my sister, and wasn’t exactly looking forward to a day at work, but who is on a Monday? Anyway, I showed up to an almost completely empty parking lot. Uh ohhhh… I immediately thought back to Friday where my company’s power was out for a couple hours due to the storms the night before. Well I guess another round of bad storms hit the Minneapolis area on Friday night and the power had been out since then. So I turned around, got Starbucks and settled in at home to work from my own lap top! Granted it was a little difficult to do much aside from check my email since most of the documents I need are saved on my computer at work, but hey I won’t complain!
And of course, I actually liked what I was wearing yesterday, so I asked my boyfriend to snap photos before I changed into comfy shorts and a tank top (holy hot and humid yesterday). It was a simple outfit: dress, belt, heels, but it is a no-brainer on a Monday morning and adding these metallic heels gave it just enough excitement.

June 25, 2013 at 8:29 AMHaha! After I saw pictures I would totally wear this on a nice date with my boyfriend or even to a wedding! But the dress is so comfy and the dress was an easy way to dress it up so I guess I didn’t even realize it looked so fancy!

My hair loves volume when it is humid and this is actually my natural hair after sleeping on it wet (plus humidity). I kind of like the summer for this reason (well many others) but I can usually just spritz on some curl spray and my hair stays put for the day!
