New Makeup Favorites

New Make Up Favorites
Aside from my regular beauty routine… I am always finding and trying new things, so I just wanted to share a few of my favorites today (which are all drug store, hooray!) The concealer stick is NOW a part of my regular routine and I cannot believe I’ve gone without one for so long.
This Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Eye Shadow Trio is perfect for a simple purple touch or a purple smokey eye. Although I don’t wear the purple shadows on a daily basis, this palette is the only other one I own right now besides the Naked palette. Also, the lightest shade in this set is PERFECT for the inner corners of your eyes to help them look brighter and make them pop!  Also, one of my FAVORITE ways to do my makeup is a purple shadow and pink lipstick/blush. I think it really makes blue eyes pop, so if you have blue eyes, give it a try!

The CoverGirl Smoothers Concealer is seriously an amazing product and just right around $10. I have HORRIBLE dark circles and I’m 25, what’s up with that people, seriously? Well I suppose it might have something to do with my poor sleeping routine and the fact that I don’t sleep well when I’m stressed (which is a good 95% of the time), so the Cover Girl stick has come to my rescue. When I used to use BareMinerals as my foundation/coverage, I would use the small brush to cover up my dark circles. Since then I have used concealer, dotted it on and partially covered my dark circles. Nothing has worked as well as this stick and I do have to do a bit of touch up to ensure it blends in with the rest of my skin, but other than that it makes your under eyes look pretty flawless.

I have had the Revlon Lipstick Creme in Fire and Ice since December, but I really wanted to include it because it has become one of my go-to lipsticks. I love the hint of orange with the red, it is very bright and fun and makes me feel happy when I have it on. It is also comparable in to my favorite MAC lipstick as far as how vibrant and rich the color is and how long it lasts.

I really love CoverGirl makeup, it’s some of the best drugstore makeup out there! I’ve been using the eye shadows and I’ve been really into their foundation lately too!

Hell yeah for using drugstore products! I use a mix of those and some higher-end products, but I love, love my Revlon lipsticks! I actually don’t have that shade but 3 other red ones. Ooops…

I love purple shadow on blue eyes too. I’m a total make up ho. I use a lot of NYX and BH cosmetics (huge palettes starting out around $10.) I have dark circles too and can’t ever seem to camouflage them completely so I’m going to give this covergirl stick a try!

I would definitely give it a try Ashleigh! I mean for me when it comes to drug store makeup, I can definitely experiment with what works and what doesn’t. I don’t love spending $10 on something that doesn’t work that well, but better than spending $40! Plus I’ve read great reviews on it from other people 🙂 Go for it!

Great post! I always love when you can find great products at drug stores because I honestly can’t afford to buy everything from Sephora. I am so thankful you posted about this concealer stick because I have the exact same problem. Can’t wait to go buy myself one!

I used to wear Cover Girl a lot when I was in high school…and then I discovered Sephora! I do love their eye shadow quads, they’re always such lovely colors!

Jen, I’m definitely the same way! Most of my makeup is from Sephora… but I do love to pick up a few things from the drug store (in fact I’m usually there for some other reason and can’t resist the makeup 😉 ) But I do LOVE this purple shadow palette for the cost!

These are perfect! I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, but I do apply lipstick and that red would be perfect!
