Today I am very, VERY excited to feature a guest post from one of my closest and most creative friends Emily! We both went to college together at Iowa State and she was a part of the interior design program. After college she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and has recently gone from renter to house owner! She has been working very hard to put her creative, brilliant touch on her home and today she is going to be sharing her before and after photos of her living/dining room area! Now for a bio of Emily and then some before and after photos!
Hi, my name is Emily and I had the pleasure of being friends and roommate’s with Rachel in College 🙂 I got my Bachelors Degree in Interior Design and have been working in the industry ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed Do-It-Yourselfer and love a good craft project. I love the creative world we live in with all of the design, fashion, and art surrounding us everyday. I’m currently working with LoveSac as a designer however, my dream job/goal in life is to work for an Architect Firm designing buildings with beautiful interiors that leave lasting impressions on everybody that comes and goes. A few fun things about me: I can’t say the word, Cinnamon – I have a pack a day addiction to gum – I’m a Post-it Freak! – I will go slightly out of my way to step on a crunchy-looking leaf – I love Breakfast for Supper meals – I’m a sucker for sprinkles, they get me every time – My socks never match- I always feel extra pretty when my fingernails are painted – Your sunglasses can never be too big – and finally my life motto: “Always keep your head, standards and heels high.”
Pretty amazing right?! I love her bamboo blinds with the yellow curtains and the DIY yellow chandelier! If you have any questions for Emily, please hit the pink Contact button on the side of the page and I will make sure to get your questions to her! Also, get even MORE excited. This is just the first post from Emily, there will be more DIY and house redesign posts here in the near future!

April 3, 2018 at 3:00 AMHey,
My name is Katie. I was wondering, do you accept guest posts on http://rachelslookbook.com? It’s about home improvement and stuff, so it would be a perfect fit for your blog and would greatly increase the traffic on your site. I’ll gladly send you over some sample articles if you like.
Will be waiting for your response.
All the Best,
Katie
