To me, nothing is more comfortable or stylish than a maxi skirt. You don’t have to worry about length (which for tall girls is always a problem when it comes to dresses, pencil and mini skirts) and they look incredibly chic, but you feel like you are still at home lounging around in your pajamas. I love winterizing maxi skirts by simply pairing them with a sweater. I always belt a combo like this because the skirt and sweater are looser items, so by adding a belt, I give myself shape. Add some tall socks and a pair of boots and the outfit is literally that easy to throw together and perfect for a Monday at the office.

February 26, 2013 at 6:35 AMCan you believe I don’t own a maxi skirt?! I live in maxi dresses in the summer, but I don’t have a skirt! I need to work on that! Love this short sleeved sweater too.

February 26, 2013 at 3:16 PMWell… after reading all of the comments so far, I can believe it now 😉 Technically you could own a maxi skirt if you wear a blouse and belt it over your dress… I LOVE wearing my maxi dresses as skirts 🙂
Rachel
February 26, 2013 at 7:33 AMI don’t own a maxi skirt either (AJ you aren’t alone) because I’m short and petite so they rarely fit. I might need to just suck it up and go to a tailor! Love these winter look on you Rachel!

February 26, 2013 at 11:00 AMThe shoulder detail on that jacket is fantastic! Ugh, as a short girl, the winter maxi is a no-no for me because the ground is so uneven due to the snow it always drags at some point and get’s wet!
Rachel
February 26, 2013 at 11:01 AMAhh! I never thought of that before… that would be awful 🙁 I hate when the ends of my jeans get wet during winter!

February 27, 2013 at 1:10 PMThat skirt is from Goodwill???? No freaking way!!! I love it. And girl, how do you keep your skin so flawless????
Rachel
February 27, 2013 at 1:13 PMIt sure is! I know, I love finding amazing things at Goodwill 🙂 I don’t feel so bad for shopping all the time then 😉
Also… years and years of covering up blemishes 🙂 I have struggled with acne for years, so I have spent a good deal of money finding the RIGHT products for me! Anyway, long story short… makeup has been my best friend for years 🙂 And we took pictures right before sunset… very flattering light 😉
