February’s Top Three

Outfits

The Fair Isle Sweater – See more here Wedged Sneakers – See more here Polka Dot Maxi + Cowl Neck Sweater – See more here And I thought I would try to avoid all neutrals this year… but look at how neutral I am. Blending in with the “lovely” surroundings of Minnesota right now. Ugh. Spring needs to get here. I do like these outfits, but I need to remember to keep incorporating color into my daily wardrobe!  Today I’m linking up with Amy over at Fashion and Beauty Finds to recap my favorite 3 looks from February. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….....

The Fair Isle Sweater

Outfits

I have always loved Fair Isle sweaters and became completely obsessed with them when I saw Megan Fox in one a few years ago in a magazine, but had no clue where the name Fair Isle came from until I looked it up via The Google yesterday. The Google always seems to answer my questions when I become curious… Did you know that Fair Isle is a knitting technique? (Probably, I’m just behind…)  Fair Isle knitting is where stitches are knit alternately in different colors. And guess WHAT?! Fair Isle was named after Fair Isle (go figure?!?!?!), which is a...

Vintage Loving

Outfits

You don’t have to spend a lot on your clothes. I LOVE thrifting and finding great vintage finds for two reasons. 1) You can easily find unique pieces that everyone and their mother won’t have 2) Quality items at a LOW price

Plaid

Outfits

I’ve been layering up with the recent cold weather (and this jacket is NOT enough to be outside more than 5 minutes) and decided to wear an all black ensemble this past Saturday with a touch of color in my plaid short-sleeve jacket. I haven’t worn my black skinnies in ages, even though they are a favorite pair of mine that used to wear out all the time. And yes, socks with my wedged booties were a must this weekend (keeping the feet warm and toasty). Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

A Month of Outfits: December

Outfits

Looks like I forgot to do an outfit recap for November, so I didn’t want to get to much further in the New Year without a recap of December’s outfits!

Holiday Spirit

Outfits

My sisters and I have a tradition of getting our nails done before getting ready for Christmas Eve mass and this year I decided to be just as festive for my Christmas Eve daytime wear as I am for my church wear!  With my new patterned pants that I scored for $7 and a vintage sequin shirt, I felt very festive for the day, full of holiday spirit.  I added a spiked bracelet to make the outfit more edgy, but my favorite accessory in these photos is my pup Emma in her Christmas sweater. Can you tell she loves...

Snow Ready

Outfits

We had our first snow storm this past weekend in Minneapolis and I couldn’t have been more excited to pull out all of my hats! I found this little bow-detailed hat in Paris at a boutique near our hotel last summer.  I was secretly SUPER excited for colder weather this year just so I could wear this hat. It was actually quite a funny story when I was picking out and buying this hat.  The guys working at the boutique were being pretty flirty with my mother, calling her princess and catering to all of her needs. My little...

Channeling Carrie

Outfits

Sex & the City is just one of those shows that I could leave on repeat and never get sick of. Lately I have been watching Season 6 over and over again since it is available OnDemand.  I really should just get the whole season in the big beautiful book! (Note to self: add to Christmas wishlist).  If you are a Sex & the City fan, you probably have picked out a favorite character and I can’t help but love Carrie, for many reasons, but mostly for her passion for writing (I am a writer as well, although very...
