When I found out my second Bloggers Do It Better challenge was to wear red, I immediately thought of my Kenneth Cole shirt dress, a piece in my closet that has been worn for a nice dinner out during the summer as well as paired with boots for Christmas. As much as I adore the color red, I only have a few pieces in my wardrobe, so I knew for sure I wanted to wear this dress. The next question was how to style it… do belt it? What kind of shoes and accessories should I go for? Monochromatic with the color red… dare I? I dare to!
Red, no matter what form, encompasses such a powerful, passionate vibe and that’s exactly what I wanted to go for. I love the color, and I am a very passionate person so this outfit also reflects my personality. At first I thought it might be too much with how bright my dress is, but then I thought, since when have I cared about what I wear being “too much”? Risk and reward is true for many aspects in life, including fashion. I also decided to do a search to find some other red monochromatic outfits and found celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Kate Bosworth and Rihanna (even with red hair!) to other fashion bloggers going for all red ensembles. So what do you think? Would you go monochromatic with red or any non-neutral color?

February 7, 2013 at 9:11 AM[…] Monochromatic: Wear all red! It may seem a bit too intense, but it actually looks really chic. Remember Blake Lively in her all-red get up? Yeah, I’m no Blake Lively, but I think my red shirt dress + red pumps still turned out okay! See the full post here. […]
