When we plate our food for the evening, it should consist of 50% veggies and fiber, 25% carbs, and 25% protein. 2. Eat Whole Foods
If you want to lose weight in a short amount of time one of the best things you can do is choose whole foods over processed ones and don’t eat any processed foods at all for a week. This can be difficult with food items such as bread and sauces but when you start making things yourself you will soon see the benefit of it all. Swap out the junk food for fruit and nuts and eat veggies dipped in homemade hummus as a snack. These will fill you up more than processed foods and cause you to eat less.
3. Reduce Your Calorie
Obviously, if you want to lose weight quickly you need to eat a lot fewer calories than you were doing before. The idea behind calorie intake is that our body burns through approximately 2000 calories a day for normal behaviors like breathing and walking. This means if we want to lose weight we need to eat less than 2000 calories so that our body starts to use our day stores for energy instead. Reducing portion sizes, swapping white to whole grain and more can be a handy way to do this. One of the easiest ways I do this is by having healthy snack bars on hand at all times. 4. Lift Weights
Many people who want to lose weight and get lean try to avoid lifting weights but actually, weights lifting can be a wonderful way to lose fat and strengthen muscles, adding definition to the body. Lifting heavy weights a couple of times a week can burn a lot of calories and will make a big difference to your body.
5. Drink Water
Water is an effective way of stopping yourself eating too much, and every time you feel hungry you should always take a drink of water and wait for a little while before you eat anything. Water is the lifeblood of the body and we should be drinking around two liters every single day to stay healthy.
