As the end of summer approaches, I have decided to take the opportunity to wear some of my favorite summer pieces before it’s too late!  As much as I love the bright colors, swimwear, floral prints, maxi dresses and sandals, I can’t wait for my favorite fashion season…fall!  Which, in Pocahontas terms (my favorite Disney movie), is just around the river bend.  But until then, here is my farewell to summer. This flamingo print skirt is having one of its last glory days before being stowed away in a summer/spring clothes box for the next six months or so. While I’m a little sad to start thinking about how the end of summer is around the corner, I’m relishing in the fact it was one of the best summers ever.

What I Wore

Hi all! I have been thinking about doing more of an everyday wear series since a lot of the time my daily outfits don’t make it to the blog for one reason or another. With my schedule, it’s just much easier to take pictures of what I’m wearing on the weekend! Also, I don’t find my work outfits particularly interesting anymore because I work in such a casual environment. I’ve been trying to go a little bit more outside of the box lately (aka not t-shirts and boyfriend jeans) so thought it would be a great time to start sharing. Speaking of, I got this idea from Somewhere, Lately. They do a #WhatWeWore series and I always love it. I think it’s nice just to get a glimpse of some of the outfits that don’t make it to a full shoot! As you can see, I wear a lot of flats during the work week! Heels are pretty rare at work, and I don’t mind taking it easy on my knees these days. Typically my outfits are dress or top + jeans, flats, a jacket or blazer and a necklace. Nothing too dressy, but I do my best to be comfy and cute! What are your favorite work outfits?

One of the most exciting parts of wedding planning so far was being able to ask my bridal party to be a part of our big day. After attending and being a part of several weddings, I know it is a huge commitment to say yes and spend the time and money to help the bride out. That’s why I wanted to do something nice for my bridesmaids when asking them to be in the wedding.

I was luckily able to ask most of my bridesmaid in real life, even though four out of five live in a different state (well technically  my little sister still lives in another state but will be in Minnesota soon)! I actually found these adorable “It’s My Turn to Pop the Question” bridesmaids cards thanks to Lauren at La Petite Fashionista! Her bridesmaid gift post was so cute and so many cute options!
